When asked to create a hype reel that explains the TGA's regulatory compliance and policing functions, I immediately sought to go the extra mile.

Compliance is a little known but key function of the TGA – plus they do some pretty amazing things there. Needless to say this was more of a love job for me than work.

Created during the national lockdowns of 2020 working remotely from home. I drafted the script, then on approval found that I was able to fashion a sound booth at home using a Rhode lapel microphone, an iPhone and recorded under my doona in my bedroom – crazy I know! But necessity is the mother of all invention right?

 

I then created the storyboard and developed a shot list. Armed with access to stock footage libraries I was able to build a broad editing timeline, then once the lock downs lifted I was able to film the scenes and shots I needed on site before colour grading and compositing any necessary elements that I needed to convey the narrative of the project.
