One of my KPIs at the Department of Immigration and Citizenship was to deliver a successful National Harmony Day campaign. As the Australian Government's lead agency for building social cohesion with multicultural communities, I was in effect the Creative Director for the National Harmony Day campaign, our national day to address racism and promote inclusion in the community.

Amongst an expansive work list, in 2012 I delivered a redesigned website designed to meet WCAG 2.0 AA accessibility compliance and to improve user experience by integrating in new user features such as rich education tools such as video, which was later integrated with an Augmented Reality app for smart phones.

In 2013, I strategically increased the cuteness factor for adults and relevance for school children by having my then 11 year old daughter voice the Community Service Announcement (CSA). Originally planned to be aired on SBS, we pivoted at the last minute to rely solely on social media to get the message out due to changes in media content regulations. Resulting in the animation going front and centre on the Harmony day website, on the department youtube channel and a boosted social media campaign being run on facebook, whilst on youtube it resulted in more than than 21,000 organic views.
