After the merging of three Government departments, FaCSIA, Multicultural Affairs (Immigration) and Aged Care (Health). This was my first major project after the establishment of the Department of Social Services (DSS) Design team in the DSS Communication and Media Branch. At the time FaCSIA had been chasing their first Gold Australasian Reporting Award (ARA) for in excess of a decade. After the re-brand to DSS and with the dedicated resources of our newly formed editorial and creative team, this report and its follower went on to win Gold at the Australasian Reporting Awards for two consecutive years.

My involvement was to Creative Direct and Design the central elements of the first DSS Annual report including: cover and internal cover, chapter title pages, document navigation, section title pages and styles, before outsourcing the typesetting and official photography due to time constraints. I then project oversaw the typesetting, photography to ensure it alinged with the creative intent of the document and provided print procurement and quality assurance of the printing before coordinating the tabling of the report in federal parliament.
